Pavitra Verma was selected as part of the Class of 2022 Gold Rising Program, hosted by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

Pavitra Verma is a writer, director and editor. He is a summa-cum-laude graduate from the New York Film Academy, where he received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in Filmmaking.
AS A WRITER-DIRECTOR
Inspired by his own heritage as an Indian, he strives to tell authentic stories about Indian culture that are universally accessible, character-driven and visually expressive. His works as a filmmaker include 'IPSA' (2023), 'Those Seven Steps' (2022) and 'Sandalwood' (2020). Pavitra's work across these 3 films has garnered him over 35 awards and 60 Official Selections in international film festivals. 
AS AN EDITOR & COLORIST
Pavitra also has had an expansive career as an editor and colorist for both film and video, collectively performing various roles in post-production for over 50 projects. This not only includes many short films, music videos and documentaries, but also work in corporate films for businesses like LMW, Infosys, Agrocorp & BCCI. Most importantly, his experience has also extended to marquee events like the ICC Cricket World Cups (Men's & Women's) and The 2022-2023 G20 Summit held in India.
